AIMP 2.60.551

AIMP by Artem Izmaylov Screenshot AIMP Screenshot

AIMP Classic is a powerful audio player that allows you to listen to your favorite music with an outstanding sound quality. Its appearance resembles that of another classical audio player (Winamp), so you'll get used to it very quickly. It can also be customized with skins. The program includes a 18-band equalizer, a visualization window to display rhythmic visual effects and a playlist editor to organize your audio files. A nice fading effect makes your list of songs look like an endless music loop and a handy volume normalizing feature avoids drastic volume changes between tracks. Also, the player's main functions can be conveniently controlled by global hotkeys. Besides playing music, AIMP Classic features three extra utilities which also enable you to record any sound on your computer, convert audio files from one format to another and view or edit tags. AIMP Classic is based on the well-known audio engine BASS, so it's easy to connect new plug-ins (from the plug-in library included in the program) and expand the player's functionalities.

"The 3 S's; Simple, Slick, Small." It has all the functions I need. Editor's review was actually right on (no offense but have seen some that I don't agree with at all). Also, I like the ease of use. Some others left me either underwhelmed or overwhelmed with the features. Would be cool if had a streaming feature....maybe i just haven't found it yet.

This is better than Winamp now. Much lighter, configurable, and stable. Nice skins, Winamp plugins, radio tuner, etc. Winamp has become buggy (not my area) and hangs.

"Sweet little player" I thought the editor's review was right on; easy to use, lots & lots of configurable settings, extremely attractive skins, nice sound. Each of the 16 bars noticeably affected sound as well as a high end eq would. None so far. I'm preferring AIM2 player to both WMP and Windows 7 Media Center (which has lots of eye-popping visuals but lacks pretty much any kind of configurability. Can't even choose formats!). I'm impressed with this AIM2 player bigtime.

Thanks but no thanks. Digital is digital. Your speakers/headphones is all that count.

Hmmm... I don't find any threats and I think it is worth to try.

LOL 'someguy', you gotta be kidding, what the s*** is that crap website, give an result from an actual real antivirus (and this does not include norton)... And at least check the date when you let bulls*** out of your mouth "timedatestamp.....: 0x2A425E19 (Sat Jun 20 00:22:17 1992)"

Actually, that website is very good and anti-virus vendors use it to collect samples. 'some guy', I don't know from where you downloaded your version of AIMP, but you should really check your sources. The DLL file from official site after the scan looks like this, notice the different file size and MD5, SHA-1 signatures. https://www.virustotal.c...2a540d8c5925-1262799479

odd I just reinstalled and it is clean, something might have infected it I dont get it, triple boot OS Aviria on Xp showed nothing but when I ran Avast on my windows 7 and scanned my XP that's when I founded it some how that file got infected, I will have to monitor to make sure this program does not contact the web on its own, but here is a rescan after new install http://www.virustotal.co...b28d0354f30d-1262799821

OK effort and that's good but it can't compete in the same league as Foobar 2000 or XMPlay. It's competent enough but bare bones when compared to the competition. FOUR stars. That rating will potentially go higher if it evolves beyond the basics but right now it doesn't have anything that distinguishes it from the common herd (such as high quality audio output - and yes VirtualMan_PL, that was aimed at you).

I liked more when it had the sound recorder and converter enbedded. Anyway AIMP it's my 2nd favorite player after foobar.

Fantastic. My default player, the sound from this always seems crisper and with more bass than say from Winamp. Not sure how this can be true as it's the same set of speakers, so i suppose they must fiddle with wave form or something.

Finally final version, awesome!

My default music player, lots of skins, sounds better than Winamp. A great player.

Rated 50/50 by allthebestnamesgone at Dec 1, 2009

the changes aren't that exciting: + Three new skins were added * Localizations were updated * Help files were updated - Small bugs were fixed but its nice to see the word 'final' in there :)

The AIMP website has been down for about a week. Does anybody know why?

"Fantastic. Skin, Editor Tag. Equalizer, all perfect" Equalizer, Skin, Editor Tag, Vizualition, Memory Use are the most important items of this software. Perfect substitute of the late Musicmatch 10. The most important musicplayer launched in the last years. Nothing, it
