Explore&Burn is an intuitive and easy to use freeware CD/DVD burner, integrated with Windows Explorer. It is the easiest and fastest way to burn files and ISO images on your computer to CD or DVD. Explore&Burn is extremely lightweight comparing to other bloated burning applications today on the software market and does just what you need.

I've been wanting a pure context menu-driven burner for a long time. Why create a program with a file browser when Windows already has a perfectly good browser? That said, the reason I wanted a context-driven burning program is speed and convenience. The Wizard ruins the experience! There should be a way to permanently eliminate the Wizard. I would also like a nice sound to notify me when the burn is finished or there is an error. I wish the program would ask you what to do for various file types. For example, right-click a data folder, and it would always burn as data. Right click a DVD folder, and it would ask if you want to burn it as data or as a DVD. Right click an ISO image file, and it would ask you if you wanted to burn as data or burn as an image. Right-click MP3's, and it would ask you if you want to burn as data or burn as music CD. I'm giving this program a 4, mostly because the developer woke up to the fact that all you need is context menu in Explorer for 95% of your burning. Kudos! NOTE: You need the MS KB932716 update patch to run this program. You can get it instantly by googling, or get it from MS a little slower.

BurnQuick has been available for a very long time, but it's shareware (excellent, and has more features than Explore&Burn, but shareware). Explore&Burn is free (for now at least) and works well.

This program has come a long way, and is now usable. Believe me, a context menu burning program will take care of 90% or your needs. I like the sound notifications, that let you know when the disk is finished or failed to burn. I wish the wizard could be bypassed with a default burning choice. I also wish the 2nd menu choice was on a sub menu. (my context menu is already too long!) Nice program, very useful, works good so far, and I recommend it. Give it a 4.5/5!

Meh, I've changed my opinion of this software. It's not really useful to me without any queue feature.

Excellent software! With this update popped up a box that said I already have a later version installed. ???

Simply gives me an error about 3/4 of the way through burning any amount of files on 2 rock solid pioneer dvd drives. The same files burned with my favourite program Prassi ONES have no issues so i have to give it a 1

Why Shareware ????? Wath´s the point, you are "killing" you own program,I stay with 1.5.3 or go back to img burn, it´s still free

emanresU deriseD sure it may not be killing it but its not a great thing to do and completely alienates all the users that beta tested reported bugs and help make it was it is today (even if they didn't code it). As for a rating I'll give it a 3 as well because it still didn't sully integrate into windows 7 and replace the inbuilt stuff

Killing the program? Oh no, so the author will no longer be able to develop and support it for free. How terrible! Panning software because of its free/pay status is idiotic beyond belief. I'm giving it a 3 because it still has no queue feature.

Money talks..from perfect freeware used of thousands of people cool projects always later transform to so far shareware, remember Online Radio Tuner and others. .and these people always switch to other free alternatives, BurnAware or ImgBurn, etc. Why do not make free version with some limitations and paid version instead if begin with full free version?
