Load it on a flashdrive.

I have AVG, this one, spybot s&d, adaware, and a couple other free antimalware programs NONE of them showed the viruses on my computer except a2. nothing i can see so far. little slow on the scanning, but who cares. Basically, i have Webroot Antivirus with Spy Sweeper and it showed i have one trojan. but you have to BUY the product to remove it, so i was on a search for a free program that would remove the trojan. THIS IS THE ONLY PRODUCT THAT LOCATED IT, and 2 others that webroot didn't even catch. i'm very happy to finally have the torjans off my computer. i'd recommend to anyone =)

a-squared is one of the best all around detector for all types of parasites. Slow indeed, but good. Configuration could be more detailed. You get a powerful virus, spyware removal tool for free.

detects maleware other anti-spyware products miss - well worth using if you want to keep your computer clean of crap somewhat slow running, but worth it for the excellent detection rates excellent product - use it!!

it is so easy to use a deep scan-set it at night and in the morning click on delete downloading it took several attempts

good detection large database once you use it cant use it agian have to uninstall and reinstall to use it again good product some annoynces

redirects you to v5 waste of time..... Downloaded and installed program and data base (100 Mb) just to be told A-squared 4.50.27 no longer works, told to uninstall and install Emsisoft Anti-Malware v5.0.0.0 at www.emsisoft.com/en/software/antimalware, nice waste of time.....

Still a great scanner ,catches a lot that others miss!!!! nota lot !!! I read here not free with a panic in tier message ... WRONG!!! it is free also it is now a zip file so its poRtable !!only runs when c;licked on to do so nothing stays on comp. scans well updates as usual not the fastest updater .. but that's ok for me ... I'M MORE INTERESTED IN ITS ABILITY TO CATCH CRAP..SO BEFORE LEAVING SOMEWHAT INTELLIGENT REVIEW .. GO TO MAKERS WEBSITE AND DOWNLOAD EMERGENCY KIT!! IS WHAT IT IS KNOWN AS NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!

I had other scans and none found the keylogger on my computer....I have not used it since that scan..so I can't say anything else good or bad about it I don't know of any yet so far, I like it.

As the usual i like to say as a supporter of a-squared free, but no more Just as the user say in here, the latest update of a-squared free suddenly stop and force us to install Emsisoft Anti-Malware v5.0.0.0. There is no chance to get rid of after you update. The pop up will block you from using a-squared free, and want you to instal emsisoft Anti-Malware v5.0.0.0That is ok for me, but when i use the Emsisoft Anti-Malware, what the review given in the trial version is fake. It runs slower than a-squared free and not very deeply clear after you detected the virus.For the user who want to install this product, i can tell you never try to update, since it is manual dont update it. You still can use a-squared free as always, dont update the database of a-squared free

Instead download the free ''Emsisoft Free Emergency kit'' which contains the ''a squared scan''. Its a Standalone build, so you must self move it the the program Files map and make a shortcut. Very thorough and with the deep scan very good. Scans for more kinds of malware than any other that I am aware of, and fairly quickly. Not much to dislike. It is straightforward, and pretty quick at what it does. Another arrow in your quiver for anti bad guy software. Very good as a last line of defense, or as a first warning of invasion and infection.

Finds toolbars and malicious cookies that no other software finds. Nice clean interface with drop-down side bar menu. And so what if the A Squared name has been changed to Anti-Malware! Give Emisoft a break. Updates can take an age. Fabulous and free.

Who knows? Not free - and not even close to as good as it used to be This used to be one of my favourite programs keeping malware out of my pc.Now this program behaves like a malware itself... I hate it.Stay away nowadays this is crap (cnet review is about old version)

This spy-ware program has been a very reliable tool for many years and with over five million definitions in the database it has good chance at protecting your computer from most of the bad guys! I also noticed it updates often. The only thing that might be a drawback was how long it took to scan my computer in the full scan mode. (Of course with such a large definition file it is not surprising). This program is highly recommended as an addition to your anti spy-ware tool kit. It certainly has been one of my favorites.

when you update the program will take you to the huge emsisoft "something like that" new program. not free at all, finds too many false positive. how to ruin a great program just to get some revenues.SHAME

Impressive Home Pages... And 1 hour of wasted time, I will never get back... Downloaded it - it took so long and gave me useless Crap on top of what I wanted, The detection file took ages, then needed a restart and gave me a Language pack and something more that took forever to load & and this went on, Over and Over again. It keep reinstalling the final step over and over and over again. It did not work !!! - I gave up. I Tried it last Year and it was free and it worked great. But now it's just a come-a-long, it only wants your Card info. So do not waste your time, It will not and does work, Even the Trial Program did not work... But it Loads itself all over your Hard drive and does not unInstall cleanly. Try it and you too will spend an hour in a "Regedit".
