Foxit Reader is a free PDF document viewer and printer, with incredible small size, breezing-fast launch speed and amazingly rich feature set. Its core function is compatible with PDF Standard 1.7.

Simply the best pdf reader around. Some of the others might be OK, but are too simplistic, imho. I prefer FoxIt Phantom now, since it's basically the same Reader, BUT with an ability to edit PDFs, stamp them (approved, verified, etc) and correct whatever I might see fit. AND it's also as fast the the Reader. Quite an addition to their line-up! anomoly: Ever tried installing anything using CUSTOM installation? Almost EVERY program I know tries to install crap by default, I mean, cmon it's the internet age, use custom installation already. FoxIt Reader is free, and I don't blame authors that they are trying to make a living for themselves. anonymouscowturd: Is there a reason you can't UNCHECK all that stuff during installation? I mean, Google Chrome offers installing s*** too, CCleaner too, and I can go on and on. NO program forces you to install stuff.

"Favourite PDF Reader" This version is stable previous version crashed sometimes while reading or fast scrolling PDF .Version 3.11.0901 was supposed to fix this but Foxit have got it right this time fixed this issue and now it is back to it's best . Don't forget when installing to uncheck the Ask Toolbar eBay desktop shortcut, advertisments can be unchecked by rightclicking status bar uncheck ads I have tried other free PDF Readers ,Adobe ,PDF-Xchange,Sumatra but still prefer Foxit .

"Excellent PDF Reader" Small, but competent reader with much less bulk than the predominant reader. None at this point Foxit works well with no problems I can detect. It is light and fast.

"speed of opening a pdf doc is remarkable." That solves the only weakness in Adobe's portable data format. You may tolerate the time needed to create a pdf document, but to use it, and frequently, is really boring. Still II didn't use older version of the Fixit reader. So, it's difficult to know the difference with regard to its influence on memory usage. Also it's early for me to detect any flaw in this reader. For now, it's complete;y cool. I'd recommend Fixit to everyone I know.

"Great PDF Reader with any browser, better than Adobe" I like Foxit Reader because the use of it is easy, simple and fast. I discovered this reader while using Mozilla Firefox as my browser. When I changed, I still can easily read my pdf files with my new browser. To download newer versions is good I have not had any problems with this reader. I totally agree with Cnet editor's review, what Seth Rosenblatt said is true. I use to have Adobe pdf reader and I hate it. I thought I was doom forever to be stuck with it. It's wonderful to have competitors to give use more options and choices.

"Faster and lighter than Adobe Acrobat Reader" I prefer it to Acrobat Reader because is faster and uses less RAM Some rough edges to smooth It is ways faster than Reader and uses less memory, there are still some minor problems but overall it is much better than Reader!

"All it says and more!" Small install, great functions, intuitive operations. Not recognized as an adobe reader by my on-line school - their "blackboard" system requires access to an adobe reader and it won't recognize Foxit! Drat! Installed quickly. Reads whatever I've thrown at it. SMALL install size compared to adobe. great interface. good support. free. I can't even think of a nit to throw at it.

It might be small, as they say. You must live with a useless search bar. Commands are not easy to find (you have to go through an unnecessary learning curve to use it) I have very little patience and lots of disk space, so I uninstalled it. You are forced to install a search bar with Foxit (another stupid search bar that occupies screen space). If you later try to remove it, it warns you that some features will stop working if you do. So you are stuck with the bar. Instead of copying the Adobe commands, the makers decided to be original, so after a few minutes of search, I couldn't find the Search-Copy-Paste commands (I am sure they are somewhere, but what's the point in hiding them?)

"Simply an amazing Adobe Reader alternative" Very lightweight. Occasionally spazzes out. Download it; It'll save you years in Adobe Reader's grey loading screen-o-doom.

Program works fine, no problem with rendering most PDFs, but have had problem on Vista, the UAC keeps popping up with the most recent releases when program launches. Hmm. Did not do this before.
