None that I can see. RAM raper, CPU raper, unstabilizes my systems (5 computers :S ) A long, long time ago, this was THE spyware removing software. Today, Lavasoft has completely lost track of what is important for such utilities:-Be stable.-Be fair on RAM and CPU usage (or at least customizable).-Be SIMPLE and user friendly.Ad-aware 8.3.1 lacks all the above features.

I am still running XP service pack 3. It runs seamlessly in the background and works as well as it ever has (for 5 yeras or more) Constant nagging to upgrade to $$$ version. Seems to thoroughly catch all offensive ad cookies.

Down-load/install/set-up was simple. Updates & scans removed/repelled the latest bad guys & those archived. Initial Version worked fine, until about a year ago. Started conflicting with other Security software on system, running scans for no apparent reason. Since this program performed well before,it appears that, "SAS Pro," & the ISP are not operating on the same page. It's easier to remove a conflicting program, than it is to change ISP.

Speed is up; like list of fast scan items It is completely void of anything on the main screen! HELP does not have any suggestions. It made my ROBOFORM inoperable. It brought up strange links for my usual products. After much searching, I changed to M/S Home Page & this cleared the problems. Could not find out how to revert to the previous version of Google (5.0.375.127 ?). Did not want to RESTORE the BACKUP made when 6.0.472.55 was downloaded. This wasso because I had no faith that all would be restored properly. I was taken aback when I viewed this new version since all I saw was a "full screen" Google with ONLY the name splashed as usual. There was only a miniscual toolbar at the top. Also, this version redefined my screensize!!!!! I could not change it! When I switched to the M/S Home paghe, all problems are cleared. Wish I knew what is the problem.

Many great improvements. But at the expensive of page icon and its drop-down menu, now gone. Can no longer bookmark new site. . No Page Control icon or many of its old functions. Only some moved to the 'wrench' icon. Bookmarking a site is essential. So is getting an extension to remain stable. First new extension I installed, Flash Control, is still listed but its icon soon vanished and I can no longer use it.I think they made the beta-to-stable leap too early on this one. Goes without saying, help is none existent except through Forum which has more questions than answers. Google motto should be "Do nothing you can make users do on their own."

Fast when it works. Useful add-ons when they work. Older versions excellent. Recent hesitates to lock into common sites, especially financials, or fails entirely. HATES Yahoo and often refuses it and my basic mail program on that site. (Or did YAHOO make itself incompatible, cannot tell.) Had to go back to IE for usual, reasonable, and customary activities! CHROME does not want to be removed and had to go to wiping separate files to get deprogrammed--normally a sign of spy/malware.
