CCleaner 2.34.1200

This is the only safe cleaner I have found for x64 systems (both Vista and Win7). I have used other highly-regarded cleaners over many years, and they are now safe enough for WinXP (32-bit), but the 64-bit systems open up a new can of worms, and the others still do not cope with them very well. Bottom line is that I use CCleaner only in Win7 64-bit, and do not regret it. The newest version 2.29.1111 is fine; I use the Slim version for simplest operation.

Great program, have had no problems with registry cleaner, garbage files are removed without any consequences (thus far), works very well!

The "Improved Opera History cleaning" in 2.30.1130 version now removes all favicons from Opera bookmarks. That's not nice. Anyway rate 5 and even more if would be possible.

My rating is not so good because this tool has not so many features that other tools have (for example profiles cleaning, regedit history cleaning, dom storage cleaning).

One of the best tool out there, however, I gave only 3 stars as the regcleaner is buggy. I used the jump to regkey function before deleting the value. It jumped there nicely, highlighting the chosen key. I repeated this 6 or 8 times and sometimes it jumped to a different key. Bad bug. Now it raises the question whether it would delete the chosen key or another one. I tested it on only one language version of Windows, it might be O.K. on other language platforms. Removed from my system anyway.

This is a very good program, works well for me with minor problems. Also, they need to put out a X64 bit version of this as we have now waited quite long enough and still no X64 bit. Becuase they have no X64 bit and a few minor problems I can only give this three stars.

Crash in Vista, I need a cleaner for a 64 bit system.I'm not willing to paying for software but I want to see that it actually works first.

works fantastic on my end both XP 32 bit and Windows 7 32 & 64 bit I don't know why your having problems but Vista 64 bit OS is as good as Windows ME edition

A great little program, I always recommend it to customers. I can't understand people marking it down for having no x64-specific version - it's not needed for a utility like this, and to me it just shows the voters in question don't really know what they're talking about. It works flawlessly on both 32 and 64 bit systems.

Great cleaner, keeps improving, also check out FCleaner. Also works with no issues on 64 bit on Win 7. Why people are having problems eludes me. Also ran on Vista on various machines & XP from day 1 & never had a crash. And how about a little appreciation as this is a FREE program instead of a less that helpful attitude that some reviewers on here have, There isn't a free program to touch this..Mail the author with your issue & details & I'm sure it will be looked into instead of unassertive moaning & complaining.

I used to give it 5, but.. -I noticed that it doesn't clean recycle bins on mounted drives (TrueCrypt Volumes/Containers), so I had to include them manually :( -Its time to make it portable Hopefully the author drops by once a while.

It does come in a portable version and thats the one I've always used. http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/builds Works as well as it always has for me with no regressions and I wouldn't recommend that enhancer thing going around which will inevitably give this a bad name even though it's developed by someone else

Better than most pay for cleaners. A great program! BTW I've been evaluating 'The Enhancer Thing?' & had no problems with it. If or when I do I will post on here but so far adds good added functionality to CCleaner. If you have regular images of your C:\ drive you have nothing to fear. Blaxima, I assume you have tried out CCEnhancer as you have just reviewed it.it?
