Hi, Thanks a lot of TagScanner, it rocks: http://www.xdlab.ru/en/ Was wondering though if you could please make the TAG Processor Preview window respect the selected columns like all the other layouts. It's the only one that just shows all the columns and ignores what columns you have enabled or disabled. I'm sure I'm not the only one that does not use every column of data when using the TAG Processor so why show a ton of empty columns every time. Or perhaps just do that. If the column is empty then don't display it, as it's just useless taking up space. Thanks a lot, Will

* Extremely easy to use interface * Frequent updates from the developer * As good or better than any other app (free or $) * Can update meta-data based on filename or visa-versa (very cool) * None - the only "Con" I had the developer fixed within 24hrs of me sending the bug to him (again - he is really good a responding and providing frequent updates) Other programs provide meta-data editing but Tagscanner is 100% focused on it and it shows. The entire app is centered around getting your meta-data (tags) in order and no other app comes close.

Renaming based on the file name <--> tag info, in either directionFree Very confusing interface; I ended up doing some manual renames, which defeats the purpose Sorry, but I just couldn't manage to get it to work for me. If an user interface is not intuitive, I just won't bother.I'm trying mp3tag (be careful, there are 2 "versions", the real one and a clone)

Is a fine program, does a great job of handling tags with my mp3 files, and renaming my files as well. Is intuitive enough for me! Developer is doing a great job! Thanks!

It's freeMight let you update the tags of your music files if it's in the mood No unicode supportWon't update some of the tag fieldsA lot of tags don't get savedLousy choice of databases for autotagging In this day and age it should be natural for a product to support other scripts than the one your OS is using, as long as you have fonts and such installed. Tagscanner thinks not. It is also lacking when it comes to offering other tagging options than what your average media player would, isn't that what these programs are for? Making it easier to tag/rename files, and offering you something more than what iTunes/Winamp etc. do? Tagscanner would have been a great program 10 years ago, and it does have the framework laid for something that could have been mindblowing, but unfortunately the software makers haven't fulfilled its potential. I guess I'll stick with MP3Tag then.

Edit mp3 (and other music) file tags. Rename your files using built presets or custom settings.Rename whole albums of music using FreeDB, TrackType.org, Amazon or Discogs databases.Uses a very simple and fully customizable user interface. None, whatsoever. did I mention you can play a song while editing the tag or renaming it? Best music organizer I have ever encountered. This software saved me hundreds of hours of work.

First off no asking for stupid toolbar ads which is nice. It takes poorly structured folders of songs and renames it nice and neatly. You can choose how you want the tracks listed and in what order. None I can think of yet. Takes a bit of getting used to. If your an avid MP3 collector and like your songs neat and organized than this program does the trick, and it's free. If you just want to rename those pesky mp3's that are lower case with annoying underscores than the music renamer part of the program is what you need. Use the preview button and if all looks good than click rename. Just make sure the track numbers match and your good to go.

Looked nice I wanted an ID3 renamer that works from Rt click context menu..this doesn't I upgraded the program ID3 renamer to latest version...found it would no longer work from context menu. Sought a substitute. Tag scanner didn't do it So I searched and found the old version of ID3 renamer V2.15 and replaced the newer, less effective version.

Bulk update songs Updates ALL tag versions with a single click. Awesome for standardising genre & artist name/spelling.The auto filename & tag processing Make tags & filenames neat, tidy, and removes blanks. Takes a bit to get used to changing mode between filename editing, tag editing, tag processing.Adding integration to a DB to retrieve completely blank tags would be good. Tried 10-15 apps before tagscanner. Tagscanner is the best and only one i use now. Most other can only edit one song at a time. Many of them are really SLOW at opening files, making the change and saving them again. Most say they have edited the tag, but only edit one version.Tag scanner has none of these problems. it's reliable, it works, it does exactly what i need!

None whatsoever. Oh wow, you can fiddle around with the embedded picture files. Wow. Gee. Never seen that before. Ground-breaking.

can do batch tagging can do batch tagging incorrectly jumbled a bunch of characters, changed labels that it was supposed to leave alone. i wanted to use this to batch change only the genre field, told it to leave everything else alone, but end up with edited/scrambled artist/album/title labels on multiple tracks.

i love renaming complete albums with the desired structure. I can add track numbers to the file names or add artist info to all tracks ect. i love that i can look up an untagged album with no info and it will give me the album and rename all tracks pros greatly outweigh the cons. So i have no complaints. Easy to use. I can rename entire albums to my specifications with one click. what's not to love.

Lots of functions Might not be as efficient for some people It might be due to me being used to Mp3tag, but I found this program to be good in terms of its functionality but not efficiency. I can edit my tags faster with Mp3tag, so I decided to stick to that, but check this program out nevertheless since it might work better for you.

I am truly impressed by Tagscanner, no bulls**, no ads, just a great program. It has always helped me greatly. Only with the new release, I really cannot use it, if I try to change the tags for artist, album etc, I get red exclammation marks, and since I am not that much of a computerjargon geek, I am having a really hard time. Does anyone know how I can get this problem to disappear (in normal English?), or does anyone have the tagscanner 4? I could really use the help. I love the program, and I hate the fact that I can't use it. Thnx
