This is the best P2P program out there at the moment. Has all the features you could possibly need. No Java required, a big plus. The GUI is a little busy, and that's my only complaint, just a minor one. Too bad this program is out of development. I suggest contacting the developer and encouraging him to continue development. Rating: 4.5/5

For data and non torrent stuff, I've tried many alternatives such as Limewire, Frostwire, etc. but this thing connects to 3 networks instead of just one and is the best one I've used. There's another version that's fake. Shareaza is not very good when it comes to torrents. Get this and combine with PeerBlock for protection against companies and spam. Also, be careful where you download this from. Make sure you get it from sourceforge because there's a suckier version lurking around. I'm sure that's why most people here gave it a low rating.

No question, the application is very well done and everything but 'out of development'. For functionality, the work on it, the highly motivated team, which go on working on the project - although hit by severe backstrokes of corrupt 'team' members in the past I give a clear * * * * *. But... in times, when more and more people I know are sued by so called 'copyright owners' I will use Shareaza in the foreseeable future only for very few items like some Linux files. Moreover I'll wait for applications like Mute and Kommute. As long as no such software is available, file sharing is dead to me. Folks, I don't waste my hard earned money to sponsor a sick system of information prohibition, so called 'intellectual ownership' and all those < v u l t u r e s > who make their profit relying on them. As long as people are stupid enough to pay 1 € for a piece of music in mp3 (which is - BTW - everything but the quality of a CD... and therefore significantly more expensive, not to say daylight robbery) this situation will become more and more extreme. The only solution is to boycot all those one, who do their best to escalate the actual situation. I'm no media junkie and I < c a n > live without something, which is simply used to rake in money. And the best thing: Most of those 'artists' seem to forget, that 'art' isn't derived from < a r t i f i c i a l > and doesn't exist simply to make them 'rich'. So once again a * * * * * for Shareaza and a censored comment to you VULTURES!

"Good program" streamlines, fast, nice interface, all you could want. for eDonkey network, just use emule (shareaza connects, but longer queue).some torrents have problems, so use utorrent. "better than the leading brand"

Good interface, I also want features with details I can customise (cf. uTorrent).Good search engine, but lots of bogus links (cf. Demonoid).Connects with Gnutella and eDonkey (some programs don't). A-Squared malware search names Shareaza as an aggressive adware bundler.Other reviews say it's clean, but the mud sticks, and Sha should talk to A2 & sort it out. A good program. Some limitations and questions, so I still favour uTorrent, except for Gnutella & eDonkey downloads.

I loved that it had so many more files than other P2P programs. It's easy to use and it also has a great interface. It's not as fast as some of the other P2P programs I've used. You need to be careful of what you download though. Mainly because many of the files have malware.

I prefer eMule

One of, if not, the best p2p's for hard to find .mp3s. Easy to use interface. Lots of sources, easily customized, and fast downloads. Free and no annoying ads. A major concern is that it interferes with dial up connections, so I would not recommend this for those who still have dial up services. Also there is no way to tell the program which files are junk files plus downloads are hard to find after wards. All in all, an excellent product, but not one for dial up users.

EVERYTHING IT WORKS IF YOU CANT FIND WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR HERE YOUR NOT GOING TO FIND IT NOTHING EXCEPT MAYBE THE DESIGN OF THE PROGRAM WHERE THE SONG LISTS AND ARTIS FINDER COULD BE BETTER DESIGNED GET IT IT WORKS VERY ONE AND I HAVE DAIL UP AND THIS PROGRAM WORKS FINE FOR ME. ALSO EVEN IF YOU HAVE A P2P PROGRAM YOU LIKE YOU SHOULD ALSO SHOULD THINK ABOUT GETTING THIS ONE TWO BECAUSE ITS THAT GOOD.
