"Easy to use, and fast." I find FileZilla very easy to use. Easy setup and the layout of the screen is easy to read to figure out how to do what you need to do. Nothing! But I'm not a power user, so take it for worth it's worth. If you need something that is easy to learn to use, with a quick set-up, this is the product!

Who uses FTP? Are you serious? If you're downloading lots of files from an FTP server, you're sometimes better off doing it with a full FTP client. The same is true when you have to navigate lots of directories to find file(s) you need. And if you have your own web server, you need an FTP client to get the files there in the first place...

"Simple and Displays Good Information" Allows you to put in your local and remote directories for each connection. Has a great display showing your directories, the transfer queue, and the percent copied. It will reconnect automatically when there is a disconnect. It is fast and easy. No cons so far! I got rid of FTP commander because it was so time consuming to put in all the information that FileZilla just saves for you.

"Interface is user friendly, however it does not update" This software is very user friendly. It is really easy to use. The application has problems recognizing that files on a local site have been changed. This problem occurs when connected to the ftp site or even when disconnect and reconnected The software does not recognize the changes the changes made to the files on the local site. It still see's the old files, their sizes and their date stamps. This is not accurate and is definatley a bug.

"Fast and easy to use" Does what it says it does, and keeps you informed of progress The GUI isn't the most friendly, but didn't take that long to get used to. I'd recommend it.

The features of this ftp client keep getting better and better. Directory synchronization, directory comparison, secure ftp, multiple connections, etc. Storing passwords in plain text is a MAJOR security shortcoming of Filezilla! Users of the portable version especially need to understand this , since usb drives are so easy to lose! I've used Filezilla for years as my primary ftp client. It's really a great program, but I don't use it on portable devices or portable drives. Workarounds to the security issue are 1) type in your password(s) each time you want to connect or 2) use the poorly documented kiosk mode, which has its own drawbacks or 3) use a third-party encryption solution (probably the best solution for now.) One would think it to be relatively trivial to either hash the password in the xml file or (better) have an option whereby the user was prompted for a password to use stored (encrypted) passwords (such as with Firefox & FireFtp). There doesn't seem to be any move to fix this problem which is often brushed off with the glib statement "security is the responsibility of the operating system."

"Very easy to use, and its free!!!" You can set it so that you don't have to login every time you want to edit your website None, and I doubt there are any I recommend this ftp over and any other because its free and it just gets the job done, even better than a paid ftp program

"Easy to use, easy to learn and free" Easy to use and set upEasy to learn how to useFastFree (especially nice in these tough economic times of 2009)There's a nice option to reconnect to the last server you connected to with one click of a button None that I can think of. I simply had to adjust a bit to the FTP Admin Panel after using WS-FTP for so long.
