@ Vongalin I disagree, while v3 is missing a few very small things that were in v2, v3 has many major improvements that I don't think I could do without now. One of them which I just discovered is the ability to use Pageant for key management when connecting to SSH servers (pretty sure it wasn't in v2). What is with these trolls posting the same old reviews, sounds like they haven't actually tried v3 since after the initial release.

2 is far superior to version 3. Stick w/version 2 or use another client. EDIT : Thanks for calling me a troll. Much appreciated.

I found FileZilla has problems with ftp://ftp.safe.com/fme in that it is unable to display the contents of these directories presumably because they are links to other directories. This site works with other FTP clients. (edit) Rating changed to 5. Uninstall and reinstall solved the problem.

@Vongalin: You are a troll, and you're welcome.

I like the speed of the fixes found. You have to give them credit that they are addressing issues found earlier in v3.

Looks like another nice improvement to the 3.x version. Fixed a bunch of bugs that I have been fortunate enough to not run into. 3.0.6 (2008-01-30) - If deleting or renaming a directory in SFTP, invalidate current working directories - Allow downloading of files starting with a dash using SFTP - MSW: /S installer argument works again - Improve queue on broken servers with a connection limit 3.0.6-rc1 (2008-01-24) + Site Manager improvements: + Remember dialog size + Site Manager will remember which folders are expanded or collapsed + Sites can be moved and copied using Drag & Drop + F2 key can be used to rename sites in Site Manager + Add context menu for local directory tree + *nix: Basic man pages - Do not allow empty names for filters and filter sets - custom file associations did not work if system associations were inherited - MSW: Fix Reboot/shutdown queue completion actions

This release is a slight improvement over the last. I've increased my rating from 1 to 2. @ BN mods If you're going to remove posts because of "personal attacks", please remove them all. Scroll down and you'll see what I'm talking about. Apparently retaliation posts are not allowed, but it is okay to leave the "troll" posts - your mods here are about as accurate as your news posters... @ darthbeads You're still an idiot

Well , since last time I used V3 , more than 6 months ago , they made an excellent progress on this program . Let's hope We can set also column views and other few small things .

Excellent application. I use it for both web site administration and even for a home FTP server. This RC is very stable and should go live within the next few days. The interface is easy to use and navigate. On top of that there are themes that allow you to customize the look of the client (example: http://sumowski.devianta...ileZilla-Tango-55312081 - Tango icons for FileZilla), though the default is just fine. The tooltips give a nice explanation of every button on the toolbar that even a beginner can understand. This is one of the best FTP clients available today. There are others but they don't add up to the quality you get with FileZilla. FileZilla has great support and the fact it's an open-source project is another perk for those who love to see how things work. The frequent updates are a welcome addition because users can see that there is active development along with on-going problem solving for any issues found. Definitely a five out of five software.

Please stop spreading false claims. If you ever looked at any other major FTP client as CuteFTP, SmartFTP or WS_FTP you would notice that there is a huge difference in the features and quality of such products compared to Filezilla. Why do you think professional users are paying 50 USD or more for another FTP client if Filezilla is that great? You are obviously a very biased Filezilla fanboy.

@p2062007 You must have something severely wrong with your computer. I've been using this program for years, on dozens of computers, including Vista, and never once had it crash, accept when trying out nightly alpha builds. I've also connected to dozens of servers, always with SFTP or FPTS, never had a problem. Feature wise, it actually has far far more features than just about every other FTP client available. And nothing wrong with the interface, unless you're an eye candy fan boy, which it sounds like you are.

Still I cant move columns... and choose what View I want , but the rest seems fine

Some people claim this is very limited in features compared to other FTP clients. I would have to disagree, because most of the additional features other FTP clients have are just useless bloat, or built in editors that aren't worth using. Gotta give this version a 4 though because the file renaming got messed up, and doesn't refresh automatically.

- Fix connections timing out shortly after sending keep alive command - Update remote file list if renaming files - *nix: Fix tab key in Site Manager not working

One of the best FTP servers out there, along with it being free. However, there are still a few bugs in the program, which is why I'm not giving it a 5.

>>>Some people claim this is very limited in features compared to other FTP clients what noobs. What else is this ftp client not providing other than your basic file transfer for god sakes

Unstable (crashes frequently on Windows Vista). Ugly interface and very user unfriendly. It looks like this software has been written for the Windows 95 era. Offers only very basic features. SFTP support doesn't work correctly with most servers (e.g. Vandyke's VShell). There are much better FTP clients out there. This product is massively overrated because it is free (for now) and OSS.

Still waiting for all the features they removed with version 3 to return, let alone the features I would have liked to see in version 2.
